The launch date of the much awaited T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S Relay has finally been announced by T-Mobile and the phone is expected to make an appearance around 19th of September. It is supposedly priced well and is unlikely to make deep holes in your pocket.

Sporting a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display touch screen, this Android 4.0 smartphone features a sliding five-row QWERTY keyboard, a feature which has almost become defunct in present times. Based on the older Snapdragon S3 chipset, the phone is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor and has 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 220 GPU. Other interesting features include a 5MP rear-facing camera along with a 1.3MP front-facing camera.

The rear-facing camera comes with a 720p video recording feature while the front-facing camera is for video-chats. Along with a microSD slot and a multimedia package which has Wi-Fi, GPS, 42Mbps HSPA+ and Bluetooth, the phone is SAFE certified. This certificate means that it has on-device AES-256 encryption, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support and the capacity for interfacing automatically with many VPN providers.

Offering a good-sized keyboard and a SAFE certification, the Samsung Galaxy S Relay should be able to make a mark in the market.
